It is not clear scientifically as of yet what causes Autism. However, many recent studies have found a high correlation between food sensitivity and allergy and Autism.
From our own experience, we have seen many children become better after desensitising them from multiple food sensitivities and chemical intolerances.
If your child gets better after treating for these allergies and sensitivities, then one could very well argue that the sensitivity was an underlying issue in his/her health.

The study shows the efficacy of NAET® as a treatment for autism: 23 of 30 autistic children who had received 50 NAET® treatments for a year were able to join their non-autistic peers in regular school classes. All of the 30 control children who had received no NAET® treatments continued to require special education.
